Business Operations Manager

Direct Plus Food Group is a fast-growing sales, merchandising, and distribution company representing many fine brands to the retail market. OBJECTIVE/PURPOSE:

The Business Operations Manager will work across departments to align teams, set goals, execute initiatives, and improve processes helping the organization run efficiently and effectively.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in planning, implementing, and managing the overall long-term business success strategy
  • Create and foster a culture of accountability, professional development, innovation, and high performance
  • Analyze existing business practices and identify areas for improvement or enhancement
  • Formulates new ideas and innovative business strategies for continuous improvement
  • Set strategic operational goals and KPIs, identify new opportunities and reduce costs
  • Motivates teams; delegates and creates positive learning environments
  • Plan and monitor the day-to-day operations
  • Provide constructive feedback
  • Develop policies and procedures and encourage adherence
  • Organize and oversee customer support processes to enhance customer satisfaction
  • Understands the organization’s financial performance
  • Review financial information and assist with the annual budget process
  • Manage operational budgets to promote profitability
  • Manage relationships with external partners and vendors
  • Keeping up with business and economic trends to forecast how the business will need to adapt and change over time
  • A clear in-depth and current understanding of technology and information management systems to monitor and improve daily functions

REQUIREMENTS:

  • BSc in Business Management or MBA; or 5-10 years of work experience in a Business Ops role or similar is required
  • Good knowledge of operations management
  • Thinks critically, is adaptable, identifies and develops efficient processes, and takes a problem-solving approach to tasks
  • Strong communicator, problem solver, decision-maker, and relationship builder
  • Strategic, creative, and critical thinker
